I only had this vacume cleaner for six months when it began emitting a horrible burning noise and wouldn't work. I have no pets and did not place this vacume cleaner under an undue strain.

Built with a distinctive double-hose design, the 12-amp vacuum distributes suction across the full width of its 14-inch cleaning path. It switches from carpet to bare floors with a simple button and features an edge-cleaning construction for baseboards and furniture. In carpet mode, the floor nozzle adjusts automatically for changes in carpet height and uses counter-rotating dual brush rolls to agitate dirt out of carpet. Completely bag-free, the vacuum collects dust and debris in a large transparent cup that can be removed and emptied when it fills. An enclosed construction and hinged bottom hatch make this process relatively tidy. A pleated filter in the cup traps dust and fine particulates to reduce the amount of irritants in the air. A 6-stage HEPA system filters air as it returns to the room, keeping dander, dust, and pollen inside the machine. A performance indicator light comes on when suction is low, and the dirt sensor illuminates as long as the vacuum is taking up dirt.
With its four-position telescopic handle, the vacuum is flexible for variation in user height, task, and storage capacity. It is also amply equipped for above-floor cleaning with onboard attachments and two hoses. You can use a single hose for short-range jobs or both hoses at once for 22 total feet of cleaning reach. Attachments include two extension wands, a crevice tool, and a combo brush with removable bristles. Other welcome details include a carrying handle, furniture guard, headlight, cord retainer hook, and quick-release cord hooks. For safety, a thermal protector cuts power to prevent overheating, and a motor protector vent automatically opens if a clog occurs.
