I had originally wanted a Zojirushi thermo pot because I grew up with one and love its quality. I changed my mind after seeing this Panasonic NC-EH22PC because of the price and balanced reviews. I don't regret my decision. I've used this thermo pot for a week now and it does what it's supposed to do. I love having hot water available at all times. My husband got to try it out for the first time a few days ago and he fell in love with it. His exact text message to me was: "Omg, I approve of this hot water thingy." LOL. We use the thermo pot every day - he for his hot chocolate, and I for my tea.
Be sure to read the manual diligently before use. The manufacturer recommends boiling some water and then draining it before using it for real. I followed the instructions and have not had any problems. We also have a water softener in our home, so limescale buildup from hard water will not be a concern. We have the pot set at 190 degrees. Whenever we need to top it up, it takes less than 10 minutes for the water to reboil and reach the set temperature.
I am very happy with this product and glad that I saved quite a few bucks so I can buy more tea. :)
