Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Panasonic NC-EH22PC 2.3 Quart Electric Thermal Hot PotCustomer Review: If you like your water HOT... Summary: 5 Stars
Last winter, I discovered Puerh tea. To discover Puerh is to drink Puerh all day long; and Puerh cannot sit in water, it has to be steeped freshly each serving or it will become bitter. I was boiling water a million times a day; then I found an old vacuum bottle and boiled water half a million times a day. This winter, I figured I had paid my dues and started looking for an electric kettle. Even better, an appliance that would not only boil the water but keep it hot. Better even than that, an electric thermal unit that would maintain an almost boiling temperature. The Panasonic Electric Thermo Pot does all that and even gives you a choice of temperatures to maintain, because some teas need to be steeped cooler and others hotter. This unit is easy to use and doesn't take up much space horizontally or vertically. And compared to the Zojirushi model of the same size, the cost is super reasonable. My brand new pot arrived promptly and well packed. I put it to work immediately and it has performed continuously and perfectly. This was an EXCELLENT purchase and I would recommend it to anyone!
Customer Review: Love My 4-Year Old Thermo-Pot Summary: 5 Stars
This thermo-pot is probably the 2nd most used appliance in my kitchen after the refrigerator! I originally purchased this for making hot beverages, and Chinese teas being my favorite, brews a perfect cup at 180 degrees. I also enjoy cooking and having hot water ready and available for stews and stir-frys helps speed up the cooking process.
I've always used filtered water in this pot and so far, after 4 years of constant use, haven't had any issues with the dispenser getting clogged. And no joke about the constant use - the setting is kept at 180 degrees, water is added several times a day, and I've only unplugged it a half-dozen times when off on vacations since I've purchased it.
I own other Panasonic products that have lasted several years of use; hopefully this pot will be as reliable. I still love, love this appliance. Now, for another cuppa tea...
Customer Review: Good choice ! Summary: 5 Stars
This is very good product. Same quality but 1/2 of what I would pay for another brand (Z), I been their loyal customer for over 20 years. But when the $ is issue, you got to find a better way to spend it.
Update after one year of usage: This pot still works great! Occasionally hard water build up can use solutions to clean, or just use lemon juice, it works the same if not better. I like it after cleaned with lemon juice, the water taste better and cheaper then the acid you have to buy. I am very please with it, some people complaint that takes a long time to boil, it's the same with this kind of pots, it's the price you pay to have hot water whenever you want. I have no problem with it.
Customer Review: Japanese Style Hot Water Pot Summary: 5 Stars
This is the most convenient, reliable and time-saving appliance I own. Works well for 2 people; I make about 4 hot drinks then add a liter of water and in just a few minutes you have hot water again. On the highest temp setting you can use the water to make ramen noodles, and this is the best setting if you need hot water quickly; you can always turn it down. The temp that works for me is the 190 degrees. You can buy a plastic lemon of juice and just squirt some into the pot with water to clean it for hard water deposits. This appliance is a bargain and encourages me to drink more white and green tea; hot water at the push of a button, it's fabulous.
Customer Review: convenient, good quality and cute Summary: 5 Stars
I love this Thermo Pot.
I used to boil hot water (added a bit cold filtered water) or used bottle warmer to make a warm formula for my newborn, but not anymore with this. It saves me so much time to make formula. Not mention during the night when baby is crying for milk. It's also very good for making hot tea or hot coco at anytime in a cold winter.
The size of the pot is another good point. It fits to a small kitchen or a big kitchen if you don't want your counter is filled stuff.
