I miss fish in my everyday life and due to my limited NYC apartment kitchen i am not able to go crazy and cook how i want to.
This Panasonic device is THE answer. I can go to Chinatown and pick up cheap fish and make tasty meals everyday now.

Sanma, Hamachi, Snapper, Salmon... you can make nearly restaurant quality roasted fish dishes at home..and very inexpensively.

It does cook fast like the manufacturer proclaims and the smell is minimal. Keep in mind that is is fish you are roasting and fish do smell. It cleans easily by removing the tray and grill. The heating element does not get dirty too often unless you have some fiesty fish that are sizzling and popping like mad. Cleanup is simply washing the grill and tray and maybe wiping the unit if needed.

This roaster is MADE IN JAPAN and is THE solution for those of us who do not have access to outdoor grills and roasters.

Highly recommended.

This electric fish roaster cooks smaller whole fish, dried fish, or fillets right on the countertop in less time than it takes to roast in a conventional oven. The 900-watt electric heater, along with a rack that is height-adjustable for the thickness of the fish, produces perfect results every time with crispy charred skin on the outside and tender, juicy flesh inside. The durable, stainless-steel grill supports fish that are a maximum of 12 inches long. A built-in timer offers a preheat mode of 5 minutes and can be set for up to 15 minutes of cooking time before sounding its ring. A catalytic filter keeps smoke and odors to a minimum and a water tray below the grill, for use when roasting fatty or marinated fish, also helps to reduce smoke. After cooking, the fish roaster has a removable rack and water tray that clean up easily with soap and water. The lid also detaches and the heating element can be wiped down with a damp cloth. This electric roaster has plastic handles on the lid and sides that stay cool during cooking; however, the stainless-steel exterior gets incredibly hot so exercise caution. Measuring 6 by 16-2/7 by 13-3/5 inches, the roaster's body does take up a large amount of counter space but stores in a cabinet when not in use.
