Gee whiz, I read the reviews here on Amazon and I have to say that has not been my experience. After owning a Panasonic microwave oven for several years with no problems at all, I dropped the glass table. They are expensive. Actually the plate glass turntable costs about 35% of the cost of a new oven. So I tried using a regular plate instead of purchasing a new table. Well not using the plate glass that came with the unit burned the sensor in the oven. It still worked, just not as well as it used to. I broke down and bought a new glass table but the damage was done. After three minutes it stops doing its job. It still runs and makes the sound of running but it doesn't heat. I still use it to heat water for coffee or tea or short warmups but not for cooking. Okay, so this model is obsolete now. I bought the next model close to it. Please note that I take full responsibility for the problem with the oven. Anyway,the newer model was even better than the older one. After one year I gave it to my mother who had burned out her old Amana. She likes it and is still using it... a lot. She puts everything in her microwave these days. She is over 80 years old and I truly mean that she puts everything in it. So I purchased another new one, same model although the control panel is a little different. It's a good machine, works fine and does a good job. The rotating turntable cooks food evenly and the high power does it quickly. As for price, it is not anymore expensive than comperable models of same features that I looked at. I can only give it the highest recommendation based on my experience with my Panasonic microwave ovens. Don't break the plate glass turntable, they are expensive, but you can easily replace them from the Panasonic number in the manual.
