You can't really beat this microwave for the price. As you may have noticed, a couple of other reviewers have mentioned a few so called "design flaws" but in my opinion those are easy to get used to. While I agree that this isn't the perfect microwave, I haven't experienced anything that justifies lowering the rating below 4 stars (especially considering the price to performance ratio). Let it be known that while I respectfully disagree with rating this product less than 4 stars, the content of the other reviews so far has been accurate.
Anyone in need of a large, powerful, inexpensive (but not "cheap quality") microwave should consider this model.

I've had this microwave for about 9 months now. It's quite powerful, doesn't take up too much counter space, and has a decent (albeit not great) look to it. [...]I would agree with the other reviewer about some of its design flaws, namely, the light doesn't come on when you open the door (the light is on only when cooking), and the dial method of entering the time is a bit unconventional, but you do get used to it. We had a space constructed specifically for the microwave oven to fit in our kitchen. Finally the old unit died and the challange became finding an oven with the correct geometry. Using AMAZON, the search was simple, the approprate oven was selected and the popcorn was again flowing in our home. The shipping was exactly as promised. I don't know what wattage this one replaced, but it heats food noticeably faster, and a good deal more consistently than our last one.
Having used it for a month now, I like the spinner to select time. I thought I'd prefer digital entry, but the spinner is pretty responsive to how fast you turn it.

I love my Panasonic oven. It is much faster than my previous oven and cooks foods well. Love the simplicity of purchasing through Amazon. Usually best price available.
