Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Panasonic NN-SN667W, 1.2cuft 1300 Watt Sensor Microwave Oven, White

Customer Review: A pretty good microwave - need interior light
Summary: 4 Stars

Before selecting this model, I did research and read the reviews (here on Amazon)
There are two flaws that I agree with - no interior light (which loss a start) and the reading of the time.
I don't have a specific problem with the time since the micorwave sits on my counter, but I could see that visiblity being an issue.

I like the compact design, but still more poweful than my older and bulkier microwave. Plus I got it for a good price.

The fan is on the left side so be cautious if it will be up against a cabinet or wall.

Only used for limited to defrosting bread and meats (use hot water or steam to reheat food).

So far, so good.

Customer Review: Good little workhorse
Summary: 4 Stars

I am pretty happy with this microwave oven. I had a 15 year old Sanyo that still works well, but needed a microwave for work, and decided to take the Sanyo there. This new microwave is so much faster! Popcorn turns out fluffier and in half the time of the old machine. It heats a cup of water for my tea in a minute. Am a little disappointed in the electronic display, which I had read in reviews was difficult to read (you have to bend down to see it displayed well). I also think it is odd that the light doesn't turn on when you open the door. It's dark in that little cave! But overall I am glad I bought it and look forward to many happy years together.

Customer Review: Looks good, cooks well
Summary: 4 Stars

Okay, I first wrote "looks good, cooks good" because it's a fun title, but that's terrible grammar so I had to change it. I bought this because the measurements were exactly what I needed. It cooks faster than the one I replaced. The door-opening lever is a little strange; at first, you think it doesn't work well, but you get used to the sweet-spot you have to touch and hold before it pops open. It has a very large turntable, excellent for spreading food out for even distribution and cooking. As others say, it is a little hard to view what's cooking, but it also looks clean from the outside because of the same markings.

Customer Review: Very satisfied
Summary: 4 Stars

This unit replaced a Sharp microwave we had for 12 years. For a good deal of that time the digital display only showed partial numbers, making it a pain in the butt to use. Finally decided to replace it, even though it still worked ok.
Our experience so far with this Panasonic unit has been good - can read the display fine. The only thing we've had to adjust to is the difference in times needed to heat foods. We were used to using specific time settings for routine items (like cups of cold coffee), and soon found out that we had to reduce the times. Guess this unit is more powerful than the Sharp was!

Customer Review: Love it
Summary: 4 Stars

My parents sent us this microwave as a Christmas gift. It was replacing a Magic Chef turn dial style microwave from the dark ages. Not only is this microwave very easy to use, but it also cooks very well. So far I have not had anything boil over or even splatter in this machine and as others have mentioned, food is heated through, not just on the outside. I have noticed that the few times I've used the sensor reheat button that I actually have to manually stop it before it dings because the food is already hot enough for my taste. Buy this if you want a smart microwave.
