I see many people saying the microwave died - well it did the same for me
but I realized the main problem was the packaging. The microwave came with a blue plastic wrapper (may be for protection) that looked pretty good and DID NOT look like something that need to be removed. By that I mean, it looked good and it was also not easily visible that u need to tear it out.
Well, guess what, the plastic wrap covers the vent - so if the microwave can't vent, it WILL DIE!
I took to Panasonic authorized retailer, she said "Why did u leave this on? U like the blue?" :-)
Got it fixed (no charge) and has been working like a 5 stars microwave since then (2 years). Four stars because of the non-intuitive plastic wrap.
Btw if u like the color or plastic wrap, simply cut horizontally at the vents. I think Panasonic does have some holes there but not wide enough I guess.
