Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Panasonic NN-T765SF Full-Size 1.6-Cubic-Foot 1,250-Watt Microwave Oven, StainlessCustomer Review: Nice full-size microwave Summary: 4 Stars
We purchased this for our vacation home and ended up bringing it home with us. This is a large microwave with plenty of power. The turntable can handle a large platter or casserole. I particularly like its inverter function which actually reduces power when you defrost food or choose a lower power setting rather than cycling the power on and off like many other microwave ovens operate. The programmed buttons are handy, although except for the "Defrost", "Re-heat" and "beverage" buttons, we tend set most of the cooking times ourselves. The stainless steel case is attractive and easy to clean. My only negative is that the "Start" and "Cancel" buttons are a little close together and the same size. In my first few days of operating the unit, I managed to cancel things by mistake a few times.
Description of Panasonic NN-T765SF Full-Size 1.6-Cubic-Foot 1,250-Watt Microwave Oven, StainlessPanasonic NN-T765SF full-size 1.6 cu.ft. 1250 Watt, Elegant Design with Reflective Door and Panel, Multi-Lingual Menu Action Screen, One-Touch Sensor Cooking (18 Categories), One-Touch Sensor Reheat, Inverter Turbo Defrost, Keep Warm, Popcorn Key, Quick Minute, More/Less Control, Function Key (Stainless) This large microwave oven services the family that is constantly eating on the run but has gourmet tastes that go beyond packaged frozen dinners. While the oven takes up some counter space (measurements are 21-7/8 by 11-15/16 by 19-7/16 inches), much of that space can be attributed to the spacious interior capacity of 1.6 cubic feet, which can fit larger entertainment-sized casserole dishes. The oven operates on a powerful 1,250 watts for quicker cooking and defrosting and has an attractive stainless-steel front and reflective door that looks appropriate in a professional-style kitchen. Most home chefs will find new and innovative features on this microwave that blow away the offerings on their previous models. To figure out the best way to cook a particular food, cooks can access step-by-step instructions on the Menu Action screen. The multi-lingual screen displays information in English, Spanish, or French on how to perform a function. Panasonic's One-Touch Sensor Cooking feature takes the guesswork out of microwave cooking by calculating cooking and reheating times automatically based on the amount of steam released. As part of Panasonic's Inverter Technology, the oven also incorporates a linear power control for even heat distribution so frozen macaroni and cheese doesn't get hot around the perimeter and remain cold in the center during cooking and frozen chicken breasts don't cook around the edges during defrosting. Another major innovation in microwave technology is a warming and simmering feature that delivers low-temperature heat to keep food such as pies, casseroles, or gravy warm without overcooking them. For cooks who are looking for a shortcut but don't want to sacrifice gourmet cooking, this microwave is an excellent option. This luxury microwave oven is covered by Panasonic under a one-year limited warranty while the Magnetron tube has an extended warranty of up to five years. --Cristina Vaamonde
