I shopped around for a stainless steel mid size microwave and this model has the most features, at the best price, of any I found. It looks great and runs quietly. It has many features I will probably never use but I have already made extensive use of the sensor control heating and I am really pleased with the results.

A powerful machine with intelligent features, this 1.6-cubic-foot microwave oven has interior space and functions aplenty. At 1350 watts, the microwave is one of the most powerful available, and the built-in Inverter technology system lets you take full advantage of all that juice. Other microwaves create lower power levels by firing full force then letting food sit while the clock winds down. In contrast, Panasonic's Inverter models actually adjust power output for the full duration of cooking time. The result is more even cooking and minimal icy or hot spots. This oven also features Inverter turbo defrost, for quicker and more consistent thawing. To complement the Inverter technology, the oven uses Genius One-Touch sensor cooking and reheat to automatically adjust power and time for up to 18 food categories. You simply put food inside, select the appropriate category, and hit "start." The oven?s sophisticated gauges sense when food is ready. Of course, you can also program the old-fashioned way by entering cooking time according to your recipes. Convenient features include prompter cues, adjustable word speed, a multilingual menu, and delay-start functionality. Panasonic also remembers the old stand-bys--popcorn, quick-minute, and keep-warm keys. With its stainless-steel finish and reflective door, the microwave is a stylish notch above its black and white counterparts and a good match for contemporary kitchens.
