Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Panasonic SRG06FG 3.3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker

Customer Review: Perfect for cooking OATMEAL !!
Summary: 5 Stars

Haven't had the opportunity to cook rice yet... it's perfect for solving the "I hate to cook oatmeal" problem though! A half cup of McCann's Quick and Easy oatmeal (not a pre-cooked oat, just cut very fine) and 1.5 cups of water. Turn on... walk away... shave, take a shower... ta-da... oatmeal is ready. EASY to clean too... no saucepan to wrestle with... and NO foaming or bubbling over! Someone should start marketing this as an "oatmeal cooker". Maybe I'll try cooking rice now. Definitely a 5-star item.

Customer Review: Easy-to-use, durable rice cooker
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had this rice cooker for three years now, and I've never had a problem with it. Using it is so simple! Just put in the rice and water, and there's only one button to press down: "cook" You don't have to do anything else to it.

And even though there is no "warmer" setting, you can actually leave the rice there for a while if you need to finish up the rest of dinner, and it will stay warm. The pot and spoon are both easy to clean, and the first of these is non-stick. Great product!!

Customer Review: Panasonic SRG06FG 3.3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker
Summary: 5 Stars

This unit is to replace the exact one I bought many years ago. We use it a lot and the old one was starting to show its age. We are very happy with this cooker, so we bought one exactly the same to replace it. These cookers are quicker to cook than similar unit on the market. Plus it's the right size for a small family as I don't like to reheat old rice.
It's quite reasonable priced and hope to keep this one for a few years until I wear it down. I will replace it with a Panasonic unit again.

Customer Review: Great rice cooker
Summary: 5 Stars

I am very happy with this, my first, rice cooker. I have only used it a few times, and the rice isn't quite as fluffy as when I cook it on my stovetop (and it comes out, lol), but I'm sure I'll get that dialed in by either changing the amount of water, soak time, or the time I let the rice sit keeping warm. After using this rice cooker I am now even more skeptical of the high prices attached to other rice cookers. If it were to break a couple years from now, I would by the same one to replace it.

Customer Review: Great basic Rice Cooker
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the second Panasonic brand rice cooker I've owned and I have to say I'm a big fan. The rice comes out perfectly with little or no crusting on the bottom and side which is a problem with an Aroma brand cooker I have. Given how will this works with the couple of different varieties of rice I've cooked I wonder about how much better the newer and quite expensive 'fuzzy logic' rice cookers are.

You can't beat it for the money. Buy it - you'll be happy with it.
